Awali Rangkaian FMCBG Ketiga, Menkeu Sri Mulyani Lakukan Pertemuan Bilateral dengan Menkeu Italia

JAKARTA, (BS) – Menteri Keuangan (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati beserta jajarannya, melakukan pertemuan dengan Menteri Keuangan Italia, Mr. Daniele Franco secara virtual pada hari Senin (11/07).

Pertemuan bilateral ini dilakukan pada hari pertama rangkaian Pertemuan Ketiga G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governor Meeting (FMCBG) yang akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal 15-16 Juli mendatang di Bali.

“Dalam rangka mengatasi tantangan ekonomi global, dunia perlu memiliki mekanisme yang disepakati bersama, dan hal ini lah yang menjadi prioritas kita bersama di G20,” ujar Menkeu.

Selain itu, Menkeu mengapresiasi dukungan Italia terhadap Presidensi Indonesia, dan menegaskan bahwa Indonesia sebagai Presidensi G20 akan berupaya semaksimal mungkin agar kesepakatan-kesepakatan tersebut dapat tercapai dalam Presidensi tahun ini. Contohnya, pembentukan Financial Intermediary Fund (FIF) for Pandemic Prevention Preparedness and Response (PPR) dalam agenda Joint Finance and Health Task Force serta kerangka kerja tranisisi dalam agenda keuangan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung transisi yang adil dan terjangkau.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Daniele Franco menyatakan juga dukungan penuh terhadap Presidensi Indonesia. “Kami mengapresiasi komitmen Presidensi Indonesia dalam mempersiapkan pendanaan bagi pandemi di masa depan dan menjaga ekonomi dunia melalui FIF,” imbuh Franco.

Melalui pertemuan FMCBG, Indonesia akan memanfaatkan momentum ini untuk terus berkonsultasi dengan negara-negara anggota G20, tidak hanya dalam penyusunan Communique tetapi juga dalam upaya mengkomunikasikannya kepada pemangku kepentingan di luar G20. Komunikasi tersebut penting untuk memperkuat kepercayaan masyarakat internasional terhadap peran G20 di tengah dinamika global.
