YOGYAKARTA, (BS) – Presiden Joko Widodo mengimbau masyarakat yang melakukan perjalanan mudik dengan menggunakan kendaraan pribadi pada momen Idul Fitri tahun ini untuk kembali lebih awal atau kembali setelah puncak arus balik. Pemerintah sendiri memprediksi bahwa puncak arus balik akan terjadi pada tanggal 6-8 Mei 2022.
“Setelah kita merayakan hari raya Idul Fitri di kampung halaman, tentu kita akan kembali ke tempat masing-masing untuk bekerja, maupun beraktivitas lainnya. Saya ingin mengingatkan bahwa pemerintah memprediksi puncak arus balik akan terjadi pada tanggal 6, 7, dan 8 Mei 2022,” ujar Presiden Joko Widodo dalam keterangannya di Gedung Agung, Istana Kepresidenan Yogyakarta, pada Selasa, 3 Mei 2022.
“Untuk menghindari kepadatan arus balik, dan agar kita semua nyaman di perjalanan, saya mengimbau, saya mengajak Bapak, Ibu dan Saudara-Saudara yang melakukan perjalanan dengan kendaraan pribadi agar kembali lebih awal atau kembali setelah puncak arus balik. Tentunya sesuai dengan izin yang didapatkan dari tempat kerja,” imbuhnya.
Lebih lanjut, Kepala Negara menegaskan bahwa pemerintah akan selalu berupaya melakukan yang terbaik untuk masyarakat, termasuk mengatur perjalanan arus balik dengan manajemen lalu lintas untuk mengurai kemacetan. Berbagai kebijakan tersebut, lanjutnya, diterapkan demi kenyamanan masyarakat yang melakukan perjalanan.
