46% Pemudik Belum Kembali, Menhub Himbau Masyarakat Tunda Perjalanan Hari Ini

CIKAMPEK, (BS) – Menteri Perhubungan Budi Karya Sumadi kembali mengimbau masyarakat untuk menunda perjalanan balik pada hari ini, karena diprediksi pergerakan kendaraan akan sangat padat hari ini.

“Hingga hari ini, Minggu (8/5) atau H+5 sekitar 46% masyarakat yang belum kembali pada arus balik. Untuk itu kita himbau masyarakat untuk menunda perjalanan balik pada hari ini,” kata Budi saat meninjau Gerbang Tol Cikampek Utama, Km 70, Minggu (8/5).

“Silahkan kembali setelah hari ini. Masyarakat bisa merayakan lebaran ketupat dulu besok. Sehingga ini akan memberikan relaksasi juga bagi kepadatan jalan,” jelas Menhub

Menhub mengungkapkan, pada H+4 kemarin, tercatat pergerakan kendaraan mengalami puncak tertinggi. Dari Bakauheni ke Merak, pergerakan kendaraan mencapai lebih dari 37 ribu dalam sehari. Sementara, untuk jalur tol Semarang ke Jakarta mencapai 170 ribu lebih kendaraan. Jumlah itu menjadi rekor tertinggi sepanjang pengelolaan arus mudik.

Menhub meminta seluruh unsur terkait untuk tetap waspada dan kompak menjaga pergerakan di arus balik tetap terkendali.

Menhub menjelaskan, dengan adanya rekayasa lalu lintas di jalur tol, waktu tempuh perjalanan terbukti menjadi lebih singkat. “Kalau tidak ada rekayasa, perjalanan Semarang ke Jakarta bisa 11 jam. 30 menit. Dengan adanya rekayasa menjadi 6 jam 30 menit,” ujarnya.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Kepala Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) Danang Parikesit menyampaikan, akan terus meningkatkan pengelolaan dan pengendalian lalin di rest area di jalur tol. Upaya yang dilakukan diantaranya dengan menambah petugas, menghalau masyarakat yang memaksa masuk rest area yang sudah padat dengan menambah pembatas (rubbertone), dan mengoptimalkan pembawa BBM untuk melayani kendaraan yang membutuhkan bensin di jalur tol.

Turut hadir dalam tinjauan, Kepala BPJT, Danang Parikesit, Dirut Jasa Marga Subakti Syuku, Dirut Waskita Toll Road Septiawan Andri Purwanto, Direktur Operasi LMS Agung Prasetyo. (Red)
