Presiden Jokowi : Pentingnya Kemandirian Pangan Untuk Memenuhi Kebutuhan Asupan Gizi Generasi

MEDAN, (BS) – Presiden Joko Widodo menegaskan kepada seluruh masyarakat mengenai pentingnya menciptakan kemandirian pangan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan asupan gizi generasi masa depan Indonesia.

Hal tersebut disampaikan Presiden dalam sambutannya pada acara Peringatan Hari Keluarga Nasional (Harganas) ke-29 Tahun 2022 yang digelar di Lapangan Merdeka, Kota Medan, Sumatra Utara, pada Kamis, 7 Juli 2022.

“Kemandirian pangan itu penting. Saya mengajak kepada seluruh bupati utamanya wali kota untuk memanfaatkan lahan-lahan yang sekecil apapun untuk menanam, untuk berproduksi kebutuhan pangan sehari-hari. Penting jangan sampai ada lahan kosong. Manfaatkan untuk asupan gizi anak kita, karena kita tanam di manapun itu tumbuh dan bisa kita panen,” ucap Presiden.

Ketidakpastian global yang terjadi mengakibatkan ancaman krisis pangan dan energi yang akan berpengaruh kepada semua negara di dunia, imbuhnya.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Presiden juga mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk mendukung upaya penurunan angka kekerdilan _(stunting)_ demi mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Kepala Negara menargetkan agar angka kasus _stunting_ di Indonesia dapat turun menjadi 14 persen pada tahun 2024.

“Saya mengajak kepada seluruh kekuatan bangsa untuk bergerak bersama-sama, bekerja bersama-sama, bersinergi bersama-sama untuk menurunkan _stunting_ dan seluruh akar masalahnya dalam rangka mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia, generasi penerus kita yang berkualitas. Betul-betul harus kita siapkan,” tutur Kepala Negara.

Presiden Jokowi meyakini bahwa dengan dukungan seluruh masyarakat, upaya penurunan angka _stunting_ yang dilakukan pemerintah dapat segera tercapai, salah satunya dimulai dengan menjaga kesehatan lingkungan keluarga.

“Jaga kesehatan lingkungan baik di dalam keluarga maupun di lingkungan sekitar keluarga, ini juga penting. Dan saya yakin jika seluruh warga dan masyarakat kita bergerak, upaya penanganan stunting yang dilakukan pemerintah saat ini, pemerintah pusat, pemerintah provinsi, pemerintah kota kabupaten akan cepat membuahkan hasil,” ujar Presiden.

Turut mendampingi Presiden dan Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo dalam kegiatan tersebut antara lain Menteri Sekretaris Negara Pratikno, Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Basuki Hadimuljono, Menteri Dalam Negeri Tito Karnavian, Menteri Koperasi dan UKM Teten Masduki, Menteri Pertanian Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Kepala Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) Hasto Wardoyo, Gubernur Sumatra Utara Edy Rahmayadi, dan Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution.
