Porprov XIV Jabar, Dedie Rachim Sematkan Medali Emas Cabor Arung Jeram

GARUT, (BS) – Dedie A. Rachim lakukan safari ke cabang olahraga (cabor) yang sedang berlaga, (Minggu).

Bertolak dari Tasikmalaya, Dedie menuju venue arung jeram di Sungai Cimanuk, Kabupaten Garut. Di sana, Dedie mengalungkan satu medali emas dalam kategori R6 Sprint Putra cabor arung jeram. Tak hanya emas, satu kategori R4 Putra juga berhasil menyumbangkan satu medali perak.

“Kita juga tetap memastikan bahwa sarana yang dimanfaatkan oleh para atlet bisa sesuai syarat, itu dulu yang paling utama. Dengan begitu, semangat juang para atlet ini bisa semakin tinggi,” jelas Dedie juga Wakil Wali Kota Bogor. Selain mengalungkan medali kepada para juara, Dedie memastikan sarana dan prasarana yang digunakan para atlet juga berstandar baik. Sehingga para atlet yang bertanding bisa merasa aman dan nyaman.

“Yang Paling penting para tenaga medis, apabila terjadi hal-hal yang sifatnya darurat bisa tertanggulangi. Dan bagaimana transportasi kedaruratannya seperti ambulans juga perlu disiapkan,” tegasnya.

Dedie juga berharap, perolehan emas oleh cabor arung jeram ini bisa memotivasi cabor lainnya untuk terus mengukir prestasi. Terlebih di sisa waktu Porprov sepekan ke depan ini.

“Hal–hal itu mudah–mudahan bisa memotivasi para atlet untuk bisa meraih emas lebih banyak. Dan tentu sesuai dengan target kita 90 emas bisa tercapai sampai dengan akhir penutupan pada tanggal 19,” ujar Dedie.

Sementara, Ketua Umum Federasi Arung Jeram Indonesia (FAJI) Kota Bogor, Abdul Manan Tampubolon menjelaskan, peraihan satu emas dan perak ini merupakan hasil optimal yang bisa diraih pada pertandingan kali itu.

“Besok kita akan bertanding lagi di dua nomor yang kita akan kejar kembali medali di dua nomor tersebut. Kita upayakan kedua-duanya bisa meraih hasil terbaik, yaitu medali emas. Alhamdulillah para atlit dalam kondisi yang prima hari ini,” kata Manan.

Lanjut Manan, adanya dukungan dan perhatian langsung dari Ketua Kontingen Kota Bogor yang datang ke lokasi. Yang menambah suntikan semangat dan sebagai bukti nyata perhatian dari Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Bogor kepada masing – masing cabor.

“Mereka yang bertanding di Pekan Olahraga Provinsi Jawa Barat ini masih terus berupaya agar bisa mendapat hasil yang optimal di hari terakhir besok saat pertandingan nomor R4 dan R6 head to head,” pungkas Kepala Bidang Informasi dan Komunikasi Publik Diskominfo Kota Bogor ini.
