TAKENGON, (BS) — Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Takengon berkomitmen untuk mengawal implementasi program Penguatan Moderasi Beragama yang menjadi salah satu program prioritas Kementerian Agama.
Penegasan ini disampaikan Rektor IAIN Takengon Zulkarnain saat memberikan sambutan pada pembukaan kuliah umum di kampusnya. Kuliah umum bertajuk ‘Penguatan Strategi Pembelajaran Moderasi Beragama pada PTKI’ ini menghadirkan Wakil Menteri Agama Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi sebagai pembicara.
“Kami di IAIN Takengon berkomitmen untuk mengawal program priotitas Kementerian Agama dalam penguatan Moderasi Beragama di Perguruan Tinggi Keagaman Islam Negeri,” tegasnya di Takengon, Sabtu (16/4/2022).
Menurutnya, salah satu kunci dalam proses penguatan moderasi beragama adalah komunikasi yang baik. “IAIN Takengon sebagai bagian dari perguruan tinggi keagaman Islam binaan Kementerian Agama siap menyebarluaskan serta memberi pemahaman yang utuh kepada masyarakat tentang moderasi beragama,” terang Zulkarnain.
Selain itu, lanjut Zulkarnain, IAIN Takengon saat ini terus melakukan upaya pengembangan dan peningkatan kualitas perkuliahan di kampus. Sejumlah sarana dan prasarana terus dilengkapi. Demikian juga dengan sumber daya manusia (SDM), IAIN Takengon terus berupaya melakukan peningkatan kualitas mereka.
“Ini menjadi bagian dari ikhtiar untuk menghadirkan perguruan tinggi berkualitas di Bumi Gayo. Kami tengah bersiap untuk transformasi menjadi Universitas Islam Negeri atau UIN,” tandasnya.
“IAIN Takengon yang bertranformasi sejak tahun 2020 juga akan terus mengembangkan kampus menuju Cyber Islamic University,” sambungnya.
