JAKARTA, (BS) – Kendaraan besar seperti truk logistik dialihkan dari Pelabuhan Penyeberangan Ketapang di Banyuwangi ke Pelabuhan Jangkar di Situbondo.

Hal ini disampaikan Menteri Perhubungan Budi Karya Sumadi dalam rapat koordinasi di Posko Angkutan Lebaran Terpadu di Kantor Kemenhub, Jakarta, Kamis (5/5).
Selain pemindahan kendaraan logistik ke Pelabuhan Jangkar, sejumlah antisipasi telah disiapkan yaitu melalui penerapan rekayasa lalu lintas.
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Dirjen Perhubungan Darat Budi Setiyadi menjelaskan, rekayasa lalin one way akan diterapkan mulai dari masuk ke Banyuwangi tepatnya di Jembatan Timbang Wacuk Dodol dari Probolinggo menuju dermaga. Kemudian dari arah Banyuwangi menggunakan jalan lingkar dalam Jawa Timur. Untuk waktu penerapan one way menjadi diskresi pihak kepolisian.
“Dengan demikian diharapkan mengurangi konflik kepadatan yang terjadi,” ujar Dirjen Budi.
Pada arus mudik tahun ini, pergerakan penumpang angkutan penyeberangan masih yang tertinggi dibandingkan moda lainnya yaitu sebanyak 2.158.947 penumpang. Pelabuhan Penyeberangan Ketapang menjadi salah satu pelabuhan terpadat bersama dengan Merak, Bakauheni, Gilimanuk, dan Kariangau. (Red)
